Coordinating Secretary of Mervyn Silva abduce by an unidentified group

The Coordinating Secretary for Minister Mervyn Silva, Amal Rodrigo was abducted by an unidentified group in Pita Kotte, Police stated.
Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana stated that police received a complaint in the evening regarding a possible abduction in the area.
However, when Ada Derana contacted a member of Minister Silva’s staff, he stated that there was no one of the name of Amal Rodrigo that was on the Minister’s staff. However, the victim was well known to the Minister and visited the Ministry often, the source further stated.
Sources further claimed that the victim was one of the Minister’s strong loyalists while he had held a post as the President of the Kiribathgoda Traders Association.
